Need a Water Extraction....

We at DTS Restorative Services are familiar with just about every water damage scenario imaginable.

When water damage occurs, we are highly trained and extensively qualified to manage your crisis.

Our staff is able to contain and mitigate damage from broken water supply lines, pipe breaks, slab leaks, toilet overflows, roof leaks and many other water damage incidents.

The initial water damage and its results are called primary damage. Primary damage can cause various damaging effects from de-lamination, discoloration, warping, cracking, swelling and splitting of building materials and contents.

What is harder to visualize is the secondary damage as the moisture changes form from liquid to vapor, water evaporates and humidity, which is the amount of vapor in the air, increases causing vapor pressure.  Vapor pressure is the force vapors exert on its surrounding environment.  Secondary damage causes the extent of the loss to increase with each passing hour as vapor reforms in to condensation to be absorbed into porous materials, creating damage that could have been prevented in ceilings, walls and contents.

Water can travel vertically or horizontally and the route that it chooses may affect unexpected areas, which may require detailed evaluation.  That is why; our experienced staff utilizes state of the art, highly accurate instruments to measure the moisture in the air, structure and the contents in conjunction with our TIC (thermal imaging camera) for fast, non-evasive moisture detection.

Secondary damage is often preventable.  It is vital when water damage occurs to have a professional and certified restoration company like, DTS Restorative Services, Inc. 1-888-472-7500 mitigate, (to lessen), the loss.

DTS Restorative Services’ trained professionals will assess each water damage incident thoroughly to determine the best course of action:

The first key is to maximize the removal of water from the carpet and padding is by using the water claw extraction tool performed with our powerful extraction equipment.  Our industrial strength equipment removes the maximum amount of water in the least amount of time from carpeting, padding and floors.  Our water claw extraction tool allows removing the maximum amount of water from the carpeting and padding without removing, disturbing or lifting the carpet and padding.

Following the extraction process, turbo drying fans are set up in such a configuration based on scientific principles that creates a vortex air flow that draws the moisture out of the flooring and structure.  The next critical step is the proper selection and application of dehumidification equipment to remove the moisture in the air.

Moisture can remain trapped within wall cavities, cabinetry, wood flooring, and carpeting.  One of the mistakes in water mitigation is the omission of this vital equipment and proper drying of the structure.

DTS Restorative Services will monitor moisture levels, evaluate psychometric charting and adjust equipment placement to expedite the drying process for the best possible drying result.  Drying is complete when the moisture content of the building materials such as wood, drywall and plaster, etc. has returned to pre-loss conditions.
